Our Cooperative Neighbourhood

Blue Booth Studios Inc. is dedicated to being a socially and environmentally responsible company. To that end, we focus on working with local and start-up companies, fostering their growth in the same way that Avatar Media has helped to foster our own growth. We also volunteer with local events to raise awareness about social injustice issues and improve education regarding the global community. The events we volunteer for and companies we are working with are listed below. Please take the time to check them out, these are some really cool people doing some amazing things.
  • Avatar Media has worked with us extensively and provided mentoring support for us. They are talented, friendly, and skilled designers and animators, sensitive to our indie limitations. Currently, Avatar works on several films. We hope to work with them again in the future.

  • Every year, the president volunteers to assist with the Heritage Festival in Edmonton, promoting great food and demonstrations from around the world. Local team members are all encouraged to join in. The Edmonton Heritage Festival runs every Summer, in August, at Hawrelak Park. It’s growing bigger every year, and it’s a lot of fun, so come on out!

  • The ORK Framework is a fantastic small-team Unity effort to produce a viable and comprehensive framework for Role-Playing Games within the Unity Engine. While the project continues to grow quite large, it is fully documented, and very well modularized. If you’re making an RPG in Unity, you need to check this out.

  • Riverman Media is a small but strong indie team, who like us, believe in the beauty of 2D gaming. Riverman is currently working on their most ambitious project to date, and has a history of fun hits. They provided mentoring to us for a time, and we highly recommend checking them out.
