Introduction
This script draws notifications according to in game events, in the form of a log. This log displays a notification when the player’s gold changes, experience levels change, level ups are earned, and so on. Custom character codes, positioning, coloring, and transparency are supported. Slide and fade animations are supported for the log. Extended to show a closed captioning notification each time sound effects and music play. Each feature can be individually enabled or disabled, and the closed captioning adds an option to the options menu. I took this plugin, and with Lecode’s permission added in a number of bug fixes and additional features to really make it come into its own. Since this is a shared work, usage is free (there are no commercial restrictions)./br>
Features
  • Notifications are displayed like a log, sliding in when appended, and fading out after a display timer expires.
  • Notifications are provided for a number of in-game events. Providing notifications for each such event can be toggled on or off.
  • Notification Log window can be positioned in several places around the screen.
  • The Notification Log is only visible when there are notifications to display.
  • ADDED: The number of notifications that can appear at once are now limited. Notifications that are not visible are delayed until there is room in the visible log. This prevents notification spam.
  • ADDED: Closed Captioning support now works (there were bugs in the initial release). Proper captioning format is provided.
  • ADDED: The Notification Log will now detect the presence of dialogue windows. If a dialogue window would obscure the log, the log shifts to display below the text (if both the log and dialogue window are at the top of the screen), and shifts above the text (if both the log and dialogue window are at the bottom of the screen).
  • ADDED: Notifications (and Closed Captioning) will no longer be obscured by the World Map plugin.
  • ADDED: Closed Captioning is now an option on the options menu, and CC will display only when that option is on.

How to Use
  1. Download or copy script into your game js/plugins directory.
  2. Download Notif_ClosedCaptions.json into your game data directory.
  3. Import script into your project.
  4. Call script plugin commands within your own events or plugins.
  5. For each sound and music track not already in Notif_ClosedCaptions, you will need to complete a caption entry.
